Soon, Indian users will be able to pay their bills through twitter. Yes ! It is now true. Twitter has announced a partnership with India-based start-up Lookup to enable users to do so. It is reported that soon users of Twitter can make their bills payments through the website. This announcement surly going to get a favourable response from customers as this micro-blogging site would make their task very easy.
Lookup lets retailers and consumers chat with each other through direct messaging. It boasts of 1.2 million registered users despite listing merchants from Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru.
Currently, users can buy directly within the social network with Twitter’s Buy Button. In this new feature, all payments and orders would be handled offline. Along with monitoring capabilities of Twitter, even its API would be used to connect customers with prospective merchants.
Instead of connecting users through phone numbers, Lookup instead uses Google Maps to give users a view of all the retailers in their area.
